What Is A Teleconsultation (Online Consultation)?
Telemedicine is an online doctor service which allows you to see a doctor without actually having to go to his/her clinic. Armed with just a mobile phone or laptop, our Singapore-licensed doctors are able to examine, diagnose, and prescribe medications virtually.
How Does Telemedicine Work In Singapore?
During the online medical consultation, Speedoc’s doctors will ask some questions regarding your symptoms and discuss the prognosis with you. If you require a medical certificate, our doctors will supply you with one. Medication can also be prescribed and delivered to your home (no extra cost for delivery service fee).
Our Speedoc doctors are also able to facilitate with specialist referrals or medicine refills.

Our doctors are Singapore-licensed and registered with the Singapore Medical Council (SMC). Hence, we can treat a diverse range of non-emergency conditions with mild to moderate symptoms, and follow-up on chronic conditions such as:

What are your telemedicine operating hours?
Our online doctors are available for video consultations from 8am - midnight daily for any medical queries, specialist referrals or medicine refills.
Can I cancel or schedule my telemedicine or doctor video consultation after booking?
You can cancel your telemedicine appointment. However, there may be cancellation fees charged to your account.

Is there anything I need to prepare prior to my telemedicine online doctor consultation?

If I miss my telemedicine appointment, will I get charged?
Yes. If you miss your appointment, you will be charged the full amount. If you need to cancel or reschedule your online doctor consultation booking, please contact our Patient Care Team in advance at +65 6909 7799.
Can Speedoc online doctors issue MCs via telemedicine?
Absolutely, please raise this request during your video consultation. Our online doctor will determine if an MC is clinically appropriate and prepare the necessary documentation for you.
Can I film my doctor/nurse during the appointment?
To respect the privacy and confidentiality of both our patients and staff, capturing of photographs or the recording of video and audio is strictly prohibited during the appointment.

The average waiting time for an online doctor consultation is typically 15 minutes. For urgent booking, please contact our Patient Care Team at +65 6909 7799.
You may also schedule a telemedicine appointment in advance with our Speedoc app at your preferred time.
How much does a Speedoc telemedicine or online doctor consultation cost?
Speedoc online doctor consultation starts from S$21.80 (inclusive of GST) per session for the first 10 minutes. We offer same-day medicine delivery* after consultation if needed.
If your condition requires a same-day follow-up house call doctor consultation in your home after your video consultation, the cost of your video consultation will be waived.
*Medication will only be delivered the next working day for consultations that occur after 5.30 pm on weekdays and for consultations on weekends and public holidays.

Is consulting a doctor online via telemedicine safe?
Yes. Speedoc online doctor video consultations are conducted through our app where we ensure no third-party will have access to your personal, medical or payment information.
In addition to that, Speedoc is part of the Ministry of Health Singapore’s (MOH) regulatory sandbox for telemedicine providers. Telemedicine was launched as the first initiative under the Licensing Experimentation and Adaptation Programme (LEAP) to support innovation while delivering care that prioritises patient safety and welfare.
What can I do if I get disconnected during the online doctor consultation?
Once you have been reconnected to a stable internet connection, simply log back into your Speedoc app and enter the video consultation room as long as it is within the time limit.
