WOMEN'S HEALTH

What Are The Common Health Concerns Females Have?

Did you know that women are more prone to certain diseases than men are? Some of these diseases include breast cancer, cervical cancer, and osteoporosis.
Acne
Achieve clearer skin with acne treatment. Acne is usually caused by excess oil production, clogged hair follicles or bacteria buildup.

Hormonal imbalances, stress, diet or even long hours of wearing a mask can lead to excess oil production, clogged hair follicles or bacteria buildup, causing acne breakouts. Sometimes, it can be long-lasting and persist for years or even decades.

Medications can help to clear up stubborn acne, giving clearer skin.

Birth Control and Emergency Contraception
Prevent pregnancy, cramps, acne breakouts and regulate periods.
Chevron

As an effective reversible treatment, birth control pills help to prevent the release of eggs from the ovaries, preventing pregnancy. It also helps to lessen menstrual cramps, regulate periods and acne breakouts.

Emergency contraception can help to prevent over 95% of pregnancies if taken within 5 days of last sexual intercourse.

What Female Health Screening Packages Do We Offer?

Types of screening
Description
Recommended for
Frequency
PAP Smear
A Papanicolauo test, or PAP smear, tests for cervical cancer. The test can identify abnormal cells from the cervix and is a good screening test to detect precancerous conditions.
Sexually active women between the ages of 20 and 65.
To be done yearly for two consecutive years, followed by once every three years if the first two results are negative.
Breast Ultrasound
A breast ultrasound test for breast cancer and other breast problems.
Women between aged 20 to 75.
An ultrasound is only required if there are abnormal lumps in your breasts and would be done yearly to monitor for any changes.
Mammogram
Just like a breast ultrasound, a mammogram tests for breast cancer. This imaging test is important in early diagnosis as it checks for signs of cancer in women who have no observable symptoms.
Women aged 40 to 49.
Mammograms are not recommended for those below aged 40. From 40 to 49, women are recommended to go for a yearly mammogram. From age 50 onwards, women are recommended to go for a mammogram once every two years, otherwise advised.
Sexual Health Screening
The sexual health screening includes testing for chlamydia, Herpes Type 1 and 2, Hepetatis A, B, and C, HIV and STI.
