What Is Female Health Screening Like?

Speedoc doctor home visit to a patient house

For the above screenings, we will assign a female nurse to carry out the specimen swab test or imaging test. During this visit, our nurses will also measure your height and weight to calculate your body mass index, and measure your blood pressure.

Once your test results are available, a female doctor will explain your results to you via a video consultation.

What Are The Most Common Female Health Conditions?

Did you know that women are more prone to certain diseases than men are? Some of these diseases include breast cancer, cervical cancer, and osteoporosis.
Acne
Achieve clearer skin with acne treatment. Acne is usually caused by excess oil production, clogged hair follicles or bacteria buildup.
Chevron

Hormonal imbalances, stress, diet or even long hours of wearing a mask can lead to excess oil production, clogged hair follicles or bacteria buildup, causing acne breakouts. Sometimes, it can be long-lasting and persist for years or even decades.

Medications can help to clear up stubborn acne, giving clearer skin.

Birth Control & Emergency Contraception
Prevent pregnancy, cramps, acne breakouts & regulate periods
Chevron

As an effective reversible treatment, birth control pills help to prevent the release of eggs from the ovaries, preventing pregnancy. It also helps to lessen menstrual cramps, regulate periods and acne breakouts.

Emergency contraception can help to prevent over 95% of pregnancies if taken within 5 days of last sexual intercourse.

Urinary Tract Infection
Get treatment for UTI, one of the most common bacterial infections in women
Chevron

Typical symptoms such as painful urination, feeling urgent and having a sensation of incomplete bladder emptying may indicate UTI.

If left untreated, the infection can move throughout the body and may be life threatening.

Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Vaccine - Gardasil 9
Prevent cervical cancer, one of the most common cancers in women
Chevron

The HPV vaccine reduces your risk of cervical cancer, one of the highest cancers in women, and is recommended for women under 26 years old.

There are over 100 different strains of HPV and certain types can infect the cervix, vagina, and vulva, causing abnormal changes to the cell and eventually leading to cancer. It is easily transmitted through skin-to-skin contact, and most infections do not display any symptoms.

Health screening helps you to detect conditions early, even if you are not showing any symptoms. Early detection helps you to avoid potential complications in the future. Depending on which health screening is selected, it may require a blood, urine, X-ray and/or ultrasound test.

To be done yearly for two consecutive years, followed by once every three years if the first two results are negative.
Breast Ultrasound
A breast ultrasound test for breast cancer and other breast problems.
