We understand the needs of individuals in need of palliative care. Find out how we can support the quality of life of your loved ones during this sensitive time.
Palliative care is provided in different stages of a patient's illness, starting from the moment of diagnosis and continuing through treatment, end-of-life care and bereavement support for the family.
Aside from the physical symptoms and pain management, palliative care also places emphasis on emotional, psychological support as well as nutritional support.
It is not limited to just the patient but also involves the caring for the patient’s next of kin, offering them guidance and assistance through the caregiving journey. This holistic approach ensures that individuals and their loved ones receive the comprehensive care tailored to their unique circumstances.
Palliative care is an umbrella term encompassing end-of-life or hospice care but also extends beyond those who are terminally ill. It can be provided concurrently with treatment aimed at curing the conditions and assisting individuals in managing the symptoms of the illness or the side effects of their treatment.
Hospice care also known as end-of life care can either be home-based or facility-based. Patients who would prefer to have greater independence in their daily lives and want to spend more time in a familiar surrounding with their loved ones may opt for home-based hospice care.
We are committed to ensuring that our care is accessible for everyone. If you have any concerns about the costs of care, please do not hesitate to inform us. Our team is readily available to discuss various possibilities including potential insurance coverage or government grants. Should cost remain a concern despite these options, we are here to support you by connecting you to community palliative care services.
The first visit usually takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. This allows us the necessary time needed to comprehend your loved one's situation and to formulate an optimal care plan.
Subsequent visits typically last for 1 hour. However they can be extended as needed to address any pending concerns.
After evaluation by our medical team, the frequency of visits will be tailored to your loved one's condition and requirements. Our team will provide guidance for the appropriate follow up schedule to ensure their well-being.
